The Weir Rose Bowl has been operating for over 50 years and involves selected U12 (born in 1997) male and female players from United Soccer 1, Auckland Football Federation and Waikato Bay of Plenty. The 2009 tournament will be held at St Peters School, Cambridge from October 2nd - 4th. Waikato Bay of Plenty will have two U12 boys team, three U12 / U11 girls teams as well as an U11 boys development squad competing in this years tournament.

 

 

Annually all seven federations compete in a national tournament that is held at Park Island, Napier in April. The tournament features U14, U15 and U16 girls and boys and provides New Zealand Football with an identification vehicle from which the various national age group squads are selected from.
