WaiBOP Football is pleased that McDonald’s Hamilton has continued their sponsorship of WaiBOP Football’s McDonald’s Waikato Junior 5-a-side tournament for another season.
“Like many parents in the region and around New Zealand, our kids grew up playing football,” said Mark Rush from McDonald’s Hamilton. “We’ve enjoyed our association with the Federation over the last year or so and have received wonderful feedback from parents and players so it was an easy decision to continue as a sponsor.
“It’s been great to support the work McDonald’s does nationally through its sponsorship of football with some more localised initiatives in and around Hamilton. I’m looking forward to the 2017 McDonald’s Junior 5-a-side tournament in a few weeks. Last year’s event was two full days of fun. It was great seeing hundreds and hundreds of children with huge smiles on their faces enjoying the game we all love.”
WaiBOP Football’s interim Chief Executive, Karyn Walters, is delighted to have McDonald’s Hamilton continue their relationship with the Federation. “Mark and the team at McDonald’s Hamilton have been great since they got involved with us in 2016 and I’m pleased they see the value football in our region has to offer.”
The McDonald’s Waikato Junior 5-a-side tournament is scheduled for September 23 & 24 at Jansen Park, Hamilton with 230 teams taking part in a full weekend of football.
