Hi everyone,

While we all adjust to the new normal of Covid-19 Alert Level Four which, of course, is anything but normal, I’d like to take a moment to acknowledge the impact this will have on the football and futsal community.

It is so important that everyone follows the Government’s lead during this period. You can visit Unite Against Covid-19 or www.covid19.govt.nz to learn the simple steps you can take to slow the spread.

Our staff have already transitioned to a remote working environment and our physical offices will remain closed until further notice. We are still available by phone or email. So, whether you’re a coach, player, referee, administrator, or supporter – please don’t hesitate to contact us if you need help. 

We are here to support our region’s clubs. I would encourage everyone to support your local club by ensuring you’re registered and by being as ready as you can be for when football gets underway, albeit after what will be a delayed start.

WaiBOP is working with NZ Football, the regional Federations and other sporting codes to work through what we know are difficult issues. When we know more, we will be sure to let you know. Our website, direct emails (subscribe HERE) and social media channels will keep you up to date with our region’s news over the next month or so.
