Hamilton Wanderers is the latest WaiBOP club to achieve NZ Football’s Quality Club Mark 1-Star accreditation. Wanderers join a growing list of clubs from our region to have achieved this status.
Andrea Marden, pictured above right with Wanderers Chairman Brendon Coker, was pleased for her club and committee at achieving this milestone.
“Receiving the QCM 1-Star has been a humbling experience for the committee members who have been working tirelessly to put structures and procedures in place. Maintaining the Stars’ will ensure the club continues to strengthen both on and off the field,” said Andrea.
“The most surprising thing from the accreditation process was that we were encouraged to realise as a club we employed many of the procedures listed, although many weren’t documented. This has highlighted the importance of ensuring each requirement is readily available to pass on to future volunteers.”
New Zealand Football created the Quality Club Mark to help New Zealand clubs perform at their peak. This is a national partnership with the seven federations as well as 17 Regional Sports Trusts. It aims to promote continuous improvement in the way football is delivered and support clubs as they adopt standards of best practice. Quality Club Mark assesses a number of factors on and off the field, to provide a clear view of the standards achieved.
