Format - 2 x 8 minute Skill Activities, followed by 3 x 10 minute games (The first activity starts at the time listed in the draw)
The McDonalds Junior Football fun games/activities play a major part in each session. Please use them and support the development and enjoyment of our future footballers.
Our goal is to enthuse young players so that they fall in love with the sport and stay in it for life. These activities offer volunteer coaches with a variety of fun games, each focusing on a particular technical outcome. Every activity is an opportunity for young children to take part in fun, enjoyable football games that will develop them as players and people.
It is important to check that SMILES are evident in your sessions:

HAURAKI PLAINS, PAEROA, THAMES AND WHANGAMATA DO IN-HOUSE ONLY FOR THEIR FIRST KICKS U6 PLAYERS. THE OTHER CLUBS/SCHOOLS WILL FOLLOW THE BELOW FIRST KICKS DRAW. ALL U6 & U8 TEAMS WILL BE INVITED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE FIRST KICKS FESTIVALS.
SEPERATE FESTIVALS FOR THE EASTERN SIDE AND WESTERN SIDE OF THE REGION WILL BE HELD ON 27TH MAY (TAIRUA & PAEROA), 22ND JULY (WHITIANGA & TE AROHA) and 19TH AUGUST (THAMES & WHANGAMATA) - ALL VENUES ARE NOW CONFIRMED.
