Coming in 2021

WaiBOP Football Federation is pleased to announce a centralised development program for female players eligible for U13 and U15 age groups in 2021. This programme has been developed and is supported by New Zealand Football to provide the best opportunities for players aspiring to join the Future Ferns Development Programme (FFDP).

Designed to bridge the gap between club youth football and international youth competitions, this programme is the result of work done during 2020, researching international best practice and identifying the needs of the aspirational New Zealand player.

Selected players will train at a central location and play in a WaiBOP Federation grade throughout the season. Players will have access to sports science (including GPS), FFDP coaches, and off field support from specialist providers. Head Coaches will be current NZF/OFC B license holders (or International equivalent as required by the NZF Talent Development Program).

Players will be identified from games, club, and school nominations and from identification days being held in February 2021.

This programme will be user pays and supported by WaiBOP Football Federation.

WaiBOP is looking for applications from suitably qualified coaches for paid part-time positions within this programme.

Apply by email with a football resume to Tracy.w@waibop.co.nz by 31 January 2021.
