Kia ora koutou,
At the WaiBOP Football AGM held on 25 May 2026, quorum was not reached. As a result, no formal decision was made on the proposed constitutional amendment.
The Board has resolved to put this matter to members by electronic ballot, in accordance with Rules 23.16 and 24 of the WaiBOP Football Constitution.
Can your club or school please submit your vote on this matter? It should take less than 5mins.
The resolution to be voted on is:
That the following wording be added to Rule 21.2:
“No addition to, deletion from or alteration of the organisation’s rules shall be made which would allow personal financial gain to any individuals. The provisions and effect of this clause shall not be removed from this document and shall be included and implied into any document replacing this document.”
If approved, Rule 21.2 would read:
21.2 These Rules shall be altered, added to or rescinded or otherwise amended in accordance with Rule 16.2. No addition to, deletion from or alteration of the organisation’s rules shall be made which would allow personal financial gain to any individuals. The provisions and effect of this clause shall not be removed from this document and shall be included and implied into any document replacing this document.
Voting closes at 5pm on Tuesday 2 June 2026. Votes received after this time will not be counted.
Each member club or school can vote once.
Votes will be checked and counted by the appointed scrutineer. The result will be circulated to clubs within one week of the close of voting.
Please ensure your club’s authorised voting representative completes the ballot before the deadline.
