Another Girls & Women's Month event run on Saturday March 2, was the opportunity for mums and daughters to engage in an Introduction to Refereeing course.

The workshop had a mixture of women and girls who engaged in the Game Day Leader course, offering a taster into refereeing junior and youth football. This was followed by a Fun with Flags experience – a practical opportunity to have a go with a whistle and flag.

It was great to see so many wāhine eager and engaged in upskilling their knowledge on refereeing and being a leader in the junior game.
