These events offer excellent opportunities for collaboration with WaiBOP, enhancing opportunities for our young ones to engage in and enjoy the rewards of the sport."

Aligning with New Zealand Football’s guidelines for Junior Football, the focus for these festival days is on fun and participation, and neither tournament includes knockout games. Both festivals will be supported by Positive Vibes Only.

Ken Cresswell, Football Development Manager of WaiBOP, says "These events provide an extra level of excitement for everyone involved. They add value to the normal week to week experience of the game, and allow the players to display their talents over a series of shortened games. We encourage team coaches and managers, and all supporters, to join in the excitement by offering positive and enthusiastic support to all participants."

In 2023, over 140 teams participated in the 5-aside festival, and almost 60 teams were involved in the Rotorua Festival. All participants in both tournaments received a Craigs Investment Partners medal.
