Celebrating National Volunteer Week 2025

Across the Waikato and Bay of Plenty, our football clubs and schools are driven by hundreds of thousands of volunteer hours.

From coaches and managers, to referees and administrators. Those who organise gear and keep clubrooms clean. Those who look after the grounds, and make sure pitches are marked every week; those who put up nets and put them away. The ones who walk the frosty pitch before the kids arrive on a Saturday morning, picking up litter and making sure there are no hazards. The photographers and the people behind the bar and those on the BBQ.

Volunteer Week is your chance to recognise these volunteers in your football community for their work.

New Zealand Football is celebrating the heroes of the football community by awarding 36 volunteers across the country with a $50 online NZ Football Store voucher.
