WaiBOP Football’s Nadia Murrihy Browning is heading to Fiji for the OFC Women’s Nations Cup, held from 4–19 July, where she’ll take on a key role as a referee technical instructor.

Murrihy Browning will be working closely with match officials from across the Pacific — assessing performances, running practical on-field sessions and leading classroom workshops to support referee development.

Murrihy Browning was a FIFA Assistant Referee from 2013-2015, and a FIFA Referee from 2017 through to 2022, and is currently a referee assessor for New Zealand Football. as well as delivering WaiBOP Football's NZCT Youth Referee Academy in Hamilton.

Joining her from our region is Sarah Jones, who’s been selected as a referee for the tournament.

WaiBOP Referee Development Manager Anna-Marie Keighley was also selected to referee in the tournament, but was subsequently appointed to the International Friendly series for the Australian women's team, the Matildas, who play both Slovenia and Panama twice between 26 June and 8th July 2025 in Australia.

The OFC Women's Nations Cup features senior women’s teams from across Oceania. The competition was last held in 2022.

New Zealand last entered in 2018, and have not entered this year.

Previous editions of the OFC Women's Nations Cup have served as World Cup qualifiers, however, this is no longer a qualifying tournament.
