Papamoa FC were presented with their NZ Football Quality Club Mark (QCM) 1 Star plaque on Monday January 20 after having their accreditation confirmed in late-2019.
This is the second time Papamoa has received the QCM 1 Star after first gaining it in 2015. The initial accreditation ran for three years.
Papamoa's President, Maaka Nelson, was pleased to get this accreditation over the line again.
"In achieving QCM1 it confirms to us that the club is in a strong position, while aligning with and adopting NZ Football's best practice," said Maaka. "The hard work that our committees have done over the last few years has allowed us to be one of three Bay of Plenty clubs with this star. We feel it has future proofed the club."
Upon re-starting the QCM process Maaka and his team didn't realise the level of detail required to achieve the accreditation. "By diving in and doing this it has forced positive change upon us. Now implemented the focus for 2020 goes on the delivery of new footballing activities, including the introduction of the NZF TDP programme, which we are in the process of applying for under the direction of our new Director of Football, Brian Murphy."
