Contact Tracing For Training - Help Sheet

There are several steps clubs, team coaches/managers, players and parents must do to ensure we have the best chance of meeting football’s contact tracing requirements. These are detailed below. You can use this simple guide to help your club members understand this process.

If you have any questions please contact graeme.b@waibop.co.nz

BEFORE YOUR MEMBERS GO TO THEIR FIRST TRAINING SESSION

COMET

  • All players, coaches, and team staff MUST BE registered with their club. This is done via their MyComet account.
  • The club will add each player, coach, and team staff member to each of their team’s catalogues.
  • Each player, coach, and team staff's COMET information must include their full name, address, phone, and contact email.

iDMe

  • Any person (player, coach, team staff, parent, spectator) who will be involved in any football activity, which includes training, MUST be registered in the iDMe online contact tracing register.
  • Multiple people can be registered in iDMe on one device.
  • This poster HERE can be used by clubs at each venue to display the venue code.

AT EACH TRAINING SESSION

iDMe

  • Any person (player, coach, team staff, parent, spectator) who is present at a training session will enter the five-letter venue code in their iDMe profile.
  • All iDMe venue information will be held centrally by WaiBOP Football.
    • This is to ensure clubs do not hold the personal details of people registered with other clubs, which is particularly important when for when we start playing games.

There is now NO requirement for coaches to record player information on paper at the start of each training session. Players will use iDMe to register their attendance.
