​​​​​​​First game for the season is Saturday, 10 May.

There is no football on Kings Birthday, Matariki weekend, or the middle and last weekend of the school holidays. The last game for the season is August 23rd, 2025.

5 Aside festival is 30 August.

Grade 10 Mini Football - Key Points

7v7 Format with Goalkeepers

One 50-minute game each week made up of two 25-minute halves. 

  • Retreating line rule for goal kicks
  • Partial offside rule (between retreating line and goal line)
  • Throw-ins introduced
  • Goal kicks and corner kicks introduced
  • Goalkeeper are introduced. No drop kicks allowed. 
  • Only indirect free kicks for fouls - see rules for details
  • No published match results or ladders

First 6 playing days (10 May – 28 June) – teams will play in and East or West competition. 

Second 6 playing days (19 July – 23 August) – Cross over game days where teams from the East will play teams from the West.

With home & away fixtures, each team should only need to travel across the peninsula 3 times during the season.
