Hamilton Wanderers have achieved New Zealand Football's Quality Club Mark (QCM) 1 Star Award. Club representatives David Douglas (Chairman) and Ricki Hebert (Technical Director) were recently presented with a plaque recognising this achievement.
"Achieving QCM 1 Star recognition is an important step in building our capability and recognising our capacity," explained Douglas after being presented with his club's plaque.
"The process was important for us in highlighting areas we are performing well and where we needed to tidy up. We're in good shape and I think this recognition just further reinforces that.
"I'd also like to thank Hayley Shaw for her efforts in bringing this project together. Without Hayley's work and support across all areas we'd have been in for a real battle getting all our systems and documentation in order."
What is QCM?
The New Zealand Football Quality Club Mark club accreditation programme is designed to identify, support and highlight football clubs in New Zealand who are well run, community focused organisations aligned to the New Zealand Football Whole of Football Plan.
The sporting landscape across New Zealand is changing, and we need to ensure that our football clubs across the country have a sporting chance of keeping relevant in the ever-evolving domestic sporting market.Football clubs with QCM status will have robust ‘off the field’ processes in place to help them meet this challenge.
The QCM is a national partnership across the seven Federations and supported by a range of sporting, community and non-governmental organisation (NGO) partners.
QCM is good practice for your club and community and is recommended for all football clubs in New Zealand.
