The Voice of the Participant (VOP) Survey is back for 2023, and players and parents throughout New Zealand are being asked to have their say on their football experiences.

Conducted in partnership with Sport New Zealand and carried out by InMoment, the VOP Survey has been undertaken by New Zealand Football since 2015. Its results help to inform clubs, federations and New Zealand Football about what works and what doesn’t work for participants, and what motivates people to play football in New Zealand. The survey has been designed to enable benchmarking across all clubs and sporting organisations.

Results from the VOP surveys help New Zealand Football prioritise areas for development in the short term, as well as guiding transformational longer-term projects such as the Delivery and Sustainability Project.

“We encourage as many of football community to complete the survey and share what it is like for you when you take part in our sport,” says Daniel Farrow, General Manager of Football.

“A large response will provide greater understanding of how we as New Zealand Football, as well as our member federations and clubs, can help improve the experience of participants.

”The 2023 VOP Survey is open until 4 September, and should take around 15 minutes to complete. All registered members have been notified of the survey directly.
