WaiBOP U16 Girls League - Team Entry Information

We are VERY EXCITED to announce that there will be an U16 Girls League offered for our Waikato and BOP kōhine/girls teams in 2025!

PLEASE NOTE: This is NOT a Talent Federation Youth League. This league is an extension of the U14 Koru/Kaimai leagues, aimed to bridge the gap between youth and senior female football and provide a space for further development for any kōhine/youth girls wishing to stay connected to their club.

 

What this will look like:

  • Age: Girls born 2009/2010 (turning 15 or 16 in 2025).
  • Format of League: 8x Teams, one league with both Waikato and BOP teams playing in the same league.
  • Game Days: Games will be played on Sundays across the Waikato and Bay of Plenty.
  • Format Played: 11 v 11.
  • Playing Level: Girls of any ability wishing to remain connected with their club.

 

Clubs who have expressed an interest to play in this league on Sundays:

Omokoroa, Northern Utd, Hamilton Wanderers, Cambridge, Te Awamutu, Matamata, Morrinsville

TEAM ENTRY

All teams will be created in COMET. Once you have created your team you can enter them into a Competition. Please click HERE for instructions on how to enter teams in COMET, and add them to a competition.

WaiBOP U16 Girls

The closing date for the U16 Girls League is Monday 7th April. Field Information forms are also due by this date. 

 

FIELD INFORMATION FORM

HERE is a link to the Field Information form for all Junior and Youth Leagues including the U16 Girls. This form also needs to be completed by Monday 7th April.

Please complete this form with your Field information and any requests regarding your teams. If you have a field map, you can upload this via the form as well. If you have any specific field, time, or date requests for teams in these leagues, can you please note these on the form.  Please Note: although we do our best to accommodate requests, we are not always able to do so.

It is important to also please ensure that you list if there are any dates that your grounds are unavailable. We are not always able to accommodate requests/changes to draws once they have been done, so please ensure that you provide as much information as possible on the form.

  • Please Note: we are changing the way that we manage our mailing lists, so it is very important that you update your KEY club/school personnel on this list, and select each mailing list that they should be added to. Once team entries close on April 7th, any club/school contact emails not included on the form will not be included in bulk mailing lists.

Please see the regulations for further information regarding dispensations and ensure that you have carefully considered the best option for the player before applying for dispensation. Dispensations close on Monday 7th April.
