The Futsal Legacy selections honour players who have contributed through performance, leadership, and commitment - helping establish the sport's foundations and inspiring the next generation of players across the region.
Selection reflected not only performance but also contribution, influence, and the example they’ve set for future generations.
The WaiBOP Awards Night 2025 was held on 18th October, 2025, in Hamilton. The evening celebrated winners from across the WaiBOP leagues from 2025, as well as a number of legacy awards, celebrating 25 years of WaiBOP Football.
The legacy selections include players, referees and coaches who have made an impact between 2000-2025, and were selected from public nominations by a panel of judges.
Nikki Whyte - GK
Nikki has built a reputation as one of the region's top futsal and football goalkeepers. Known for her sharp reflexes and calm leadership from the back, she has been a consistent presence in the Futsal Ferns squad from 2022 to 2025.
Grace Wisnewski - Pivot
Growing up in Hamilton, Grace balanced both football and futsal from a young age. A natural pivot, she brings tactical awareness and defensive discipline to every side she represents.
Grace Cox - Fixo
Grace has been part of the foundation era for women's futsal in WaiBOP, contributing to the sport's early growth and competitive standards. Her defensive strength and consistency made her a key part of WaiBOP's structure during its formative years.
Lilly Muspratt - Flanker
Lilly played a prominent role in the sport's growth across the Bay of Plenty. Her speed and energy made her a standout in both regional and international competition.
Jamie Evans - Flanker
A current Futsal Fern, Jamie has been involved in futsal since her youth and remains an influential figure in the women's game. She is targeting selection for the inaugural FIFA Women's Futsal World Cup in 2025.

Female Futsal Coach ... Lilly Muspratt
Lilly built her coaching credentials in the Bay of Plenty, working with junior, youth and high school teams, before being named as Waikato Rapids women's coach for the 2025 Women's Ford Futsal SuperLeague.
Last season she guided the Rapids all the way to the final, before losing narrowly to Papakura City.
