With the annual McDonald’s Waikato Junior 5-a-side tournament coming up at Jansen Park this weekend, we are urging people attending to be considerate and sensible when parking their vehicles in neighbouring streets for the day.

Hamilton City Council deals with parking complaints.

We are asking people attending to:

• Please do not park across driveways, on grass berms, on broken yellow lines, including the water uptake station on Morrinsville Rd. This prevents vehicle access for residents, who do contact the Council to complain and demand vehicles are towed or ticketed.
• Teams/families should consider carpooling to lessen the number of vehicles parking in the neighbourhood. Why not meet your team mates at agreed sites (homes, clubrooms) and carpool to Jansen Park? This will save you money and is good for our environment!
• Park your car a little further away and then walk a few minutes to Jansen Park, to avoid congestion near the entry/exit points to the ground.

Please note, the Council will be ensuring that parking regulations are adhered to throughout the weekend.
